The Four Pillars Of Kappa Sigma
At the heart of Kappa Sigma lie the Fraternity's Four Pillars, which guide our ambitions and underpin our successes. Striving for excellence in Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship and Service produces Brothers who are involved in all aspects of life.

Fellowship is one of the key cornerstones of Xi-Eta. It is the cornerstone in which we put the most pride in. “These are the closest knit group of guys on this entire campus” said by a certain individual of Student life. We take pride in getting to know all of our members, pledges, and even alumni. We always make time for another brother. We feel that the friendships created in college will last a lifetime, and we take that to heart. The brothers you meet will be brothers with you for the rest of your life.

Leadership is a key quality we look for in the men who join Kappa Sigma. Although many freshmen do not want to take positions when they are young because they lack experience or time, many are wrong and underestimate what they can actually accomplish. When joining a fraternity, you are thrown into positions. You are encouraged to step up, and this is a vital characteristic in the real world. An employer will not promote someone who sits around and only does what he is asked. The promotion goes to the guy who steps up and does more than expected. Xi-Eta will bring these qualities out in a brother. The potential is there, and it is the actives’ job to bring that potential out and help any new members along the way.

Scholarship is the cornerstone that requires the most work effort. We strive for good grades and excel in our studies. We have different programs set up to aid those with unsatisfactory grades. There are study hours designed for anyone who needs them or for anyone who is required to have them. We have a many brothers who studies many different majors from business to engineering. We take our grades very seriously because, after all, that is why we are in college. A good education is of the foremost importance.

Helping others is part of being a Kappa Sigma. Brothers spend thousands of hours working in their communities and raise thousands of dollars for worthy causes each year. Xi-Eta recorded more than 900 service hours from previous years. From mentoring with U.S. Dream Academy to canning for our philanthropy, we were always scheduling service events. Our philanthropy is The Military Heroes campaign. Kappa Sigma's Military Heroes Campaign was designed to honor and aid the thousands of wounded military veterans returning from active duty. The Military Heroes Campaign provides charitable donations to organizations such as the Fisher House and other entities.
